范楷西 Kai-Hsi Fan

    德國國立斯圖加特音樂暨表演藝術學院指揮最高演奏家文憑，師事佩爾．波林教授（Per Borin）；國立臺北藝術大學指揮碩士及小提琴學士，師事徐頌仁與蘇顯達教授。留歐期間，曾多次跟隨伯納．海汀克（Bernard Haitink）、約瑪．帕努拉（Jorma Panula）、王進、邁克．迪特里希（Michael Dittrich）、安德烈．德．誇德羅斯（André de Quadros）、根特．赫比希（Günther Herbig）等指揮大師學習。

    旅德時期於國際指揮大賽中表現亮眼，屢獲佳績。2012年8月於布達佩斯邁克．迪特里希指揮大師賽中表現優異，榮獲「第一獎」殊榮；2013年9月於法國貝桑頌國際指揮大賽，從來自46國、296位參賽者中脫穎而出，擠身「最後五強」。返臺後，仍活耀於國際舞臺，2018年9月在法國尼斯歌劇院指揮大賽中，深受團員愛戴，榮獲「最佳樂團票選獎」，並獲邀與尼斯歌劇院樂團合作演出；2023年4月於貝多芬國際音樂大賽榮獲「貝多芬最佳詮釋特別獎」。多年來累積相當豐富的演出經歷，曾經多次與國內外樂團合作，包括：德國斯圖加特愛樂、德國斯圖加特室內管弦樂團、德國海爾布隆室內管弦樂團、德國羅伊特林根愛樂、羅馬尼亞奧爾特尼亞國家愛樂樂團、德國斯圖加特藝術家室內管弦樂團、國家交響樂團、臺北市立交響樂團、國立臺灣交響樂團、國立臺灣交響樂團附設青年交響樂團、國立臺灣交響樂團附設管樂團、嘉義青少年管弦樂團、彰化市立管弦樂團與新北市汐止城市愛樂管弦樂團等。

    2015年返臺後隨即上任國立臺灣交響樂團助理指揮，任期內表現亮眼，深獲團員與樂迷青睞。與國立臺灣交響樂團合作演出包括2016年5月親子音樂會《交響小精靈》、2017年1月《海神家族與巨人》、2017年4月親子音樂會《拐杖狗》、2017年5月《藝起愛樂》、2017年5月《濁流清音》、2017年9月《行行臺三線聽浪漫交響音樂會》、2017年10月《2017臺中花都藝術季 NTSO臻愛百年開幕音樂劇—回家》、2017年12月《盛燦向日葵—NTSO 72週年團慶音樂會》、2018年3月《2018臺灣燈會在嘉義》與2018年4月親子音樂會《樂音、噪音、靜音》等。2018年5月更受邀於員林演藝廳指揮《總統府音樂會—吾鄉風光》；2018年10月兩廳院邀演指揮《兒童動畫音樂會—尋找新大陸》；2019年1月指揮《Music for Food 慈善音樂會系列—冬陽》；2020年10月受國立傳統藝術中心臺灣音樂館邀請與臺北市立交響樂團合作，於國家音樂廳演出《2020臺灣音樂憶像—賴德和樂展》；2021年12月再度受邀指揮《總統府音樂會—北回曙光》；2022年12月與生祥樂隊和國家交響樂團跨界合作，指揮《我庄三部曲》；2023年1月再度指揮國立臺灣交響樂團青年音樂創作競賽《新樂 · 星躍》決賽音樂會，廣受好評。

    2013至2014年，為亞德弦樂四重奏（Jade Quartett）中提琴手，與德國EigenArt合作出版專輯《Musik Insel: Werke Von Jing Peng》。2014至2015年，擔任德國斯圖加特藝術家室內管弦樂團（Collegium Artium Stuttgart）音樂總監。2015至2018年，擔任國立臺灣交響樂團助理指揮。返臺後曾任教於國立中山大學、嘉義大學與東海大學音樂學系，目前為清華大學音樂系指揮專任助理教授並任教於國立臺南藝術大學音樂系。

    Kai-Hsi Fan was born in Taiwan 1983, where she began learning music at a young age. In 2001, she attended Taipei National University of the Arts to study violin with Prof. Shien-Ta Su. From 2006 to 2009, she continued her Master’s studies in conducting at Taipei National University of the Arts with Prof. Sung-Jen Hsu. In 2010, she furthered her studies in conducting in the class of Prof. Per Borin at the Staatlichen Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart, Germany; where she received her Artist Diploma ( Konzertexamen) in 2012.    

      Prizewinner of many international conducting competitions such as ''First Prize'' in the Conducting Masterclass and Competition by Michael Dittrich in Budapest, Hungary in 2012, one of the last five Candidates in the world renowned Besancon International Competition for Young Conductors in September 2013, ''Orchestra Prize'' in the Opera Nice Cote D'azur Conducting Competition in 2018, ''Best Beethoven Performance Special Award'' in the Beethoven International Music Competition 2023.

    Over the years, she has accumulated a wealth of performance experience, and has cooperated with domestic and foreign orchestras many times such as the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, Württembergische Chamber Orchestra Heilbronn, Württembergische Philharmonic Reutlingen, Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra, and Philharmonic Orchestra “Oltenia” Craiova (Romania), Taipei Symphony Orchestra, National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, Chiayi City Youth Orchestra Changhua City Orchestra and Xizhi City Philharmonic Orchestra. She has participated in the Conducting Masterclass by Jorma Panula, Bernard Haitink, Jin Wang, Günther Herbig, Michael Dittrich and André de Quadros.

    Kai-Hsi Fan was the violist of Jade Quartet in Stuttgart, Germany (2013/2014), Music Director of the Chamber Orchestra Collegium Artium Stuttgart (2014/2015 season), assistant Conductor of the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra (2015- 2018). Currently she is serving as full-time Assistant Professor at National Tsing Hua  University Department of Music and conductor of Tainan National University of the Arts Department of Music.
