Between 2011 and 2013 Anna Virovlansky was a member of the ensemble at the Bavarian State Opera, where she sung roles such as Sophie in Der Rosenkavalier, Pamina, Adele and Marzelline in Fidelio. She enjoyed particular success with her debut as Giulietta in Les contes d’Hoffmann at the Munich Opera Festival in 2012.

The engagement in Munich was preceded by a 2-year contract at Düsseldorf’s Deutsche Oper am Rhein, where her repertoire included Musetta, Gilda, Pamina, the title role in Massenet’s Manon, as well as Argie in Rameau’s Les Paladins. The complete recording of this production is available on CD.

In the summer of 2010 Anna Virovlansky made her Glyndebourne Festival debut as Zerlina in Don Giovanni, which was highly acclaimed by audience and press alike. A DVD of this production is available on EMI Classics. In December 2010, she appeared for the first time at the Bavarian State Opera, in the role of Musetta. At Essen’s Aalto Theatre she sang Giulietta in concert performances of Bellini’s I Capuleti e i Montecchi.
