出生於臺灣宜蘭，父親來自中國哈爾濱，母親是臺灣泰雅族原住民，在這樣的血統裡，發展出的聲音特質兼併了北國的豪邁與高山的濃情。豐富的演唱經歷與在舞臺上憾動人心的戲劇天份，使他成為臺灣最具份量與魅力的男聲樂家，國家戲劇院賦予「臺灣首席男中音」封號。

1984年畢業於國防大學音樂系，1993年獲國家特准以在職身份赴義大利米蘭深造留學，1996年取得義大利國立米蘭威爾第音樂院演唱家文憑。歸國至今多次與重要樂團合作，每年均受邀演出大型歌劇。目前任教於實踐大學、國防大學及培德高職音樂班。

Baritone: Wu Bai-Yu-Hsi

Wu Bai-Yu-Hsi, a baritone opera singer in Taiwan, the impressive effect of his full, resounding voice and natural ease on stage have combined to make him one of the most captivating performers in Taiwan. He graduated from the Milan National Academy of Music in Italy in 1996. He received many invitations to perform while traveling in Italy during which he was received enthusiastically by Italian audiences. He was honored by the Opera Association of Bergamo with the award as “Best Opera Singer” in 1994.

Wu Bai-Yu-Hsi has 30 years of experience performing both in Taiwan and around the world. He has performed with many well-known conductors, symphonies, and choruses.
