卡爾‧海茵茨‧舒茲 Karl-Heinz Schütz

卡爾—漢茲．舒茲為維也納愛樂樂團長笛首席及國際知名長笛獨奏家。舒茲出生於蒂羅爾州茵斯布魯克，並於奧地利及法國求學，師從菲利浦．班諾德、奧瑞．尼可萊及艾娃．阿姆斯勒。舒茲的大賽歷練豐碩，曾獲1998年尼爾森國際長笛大賽首獎、1999年克拉科夫國際長笛大賽首獎。

舒茲更曾以獨奏家的身分，合作對象包括知名指揮家慕提、巴倫波因、內維爾．馬利納爵士、法比歐．路易西、雅可夫．克雷茲伯格、貝特朗．德．比伊等，以及維也納愛樂管弦樂團、維也納交響樂團、東京NHK交響樂團、札幌交響樂團等。目前，舒茲以獨奏家與指揮家的雙重角色，活躍於國際樂壇，演出古典、前古典及現代音樂。

此外，舒茲也是位充滿熱忱的室內樂演奏家，為「維也納－柏林木管重奏團」及「維也納金環愛樂首席樂團」成員。他也曾登上世界各地重要音樂節的舞台，如薩爾茲堡、布雷根茲、格拉茲、蒙彼里埃、萊茵高、札幌、布拉格等。

教學方面，舒茲目前為維也納音樂暨藝術市立大學長笛教授，客席於多所大專院校，並固定於歐洲、美國及亞洲各地舉行大師班。評審方面，舒茲擔任尼爾森、克拉科夫、諾維薩德、柴可夫斯基等國際各大長笛大賽評審，並曾任尼爾森大賽評審團主席。

舒茲曾為許多唱片公司錄製音樂，特別是為東京室內樂團錄製了舒伯特、莫札特、普羅科菲夫與布拉姆斯的作品，也曾與馬利納爵士指揮的馬丁學院管弦樂團錄製一張名稱為《20世紀大協奏曲》的專輯，由CHANDOS發行。舒茲目前擔任奧地利蘭德克「視野音樂節」的藝術總監。

2023年，奧地利作曲家加登史塔特正為舒茲譜寫一首全新的長笛協奏曲，將由舒茲與札格雷布愛樂、維也納廣播交響樂團首演發表。此外，他與作曲家查斯林共同錄製的長笛奏鳴曲，也將於近期發行。

Karl-Heinz Schütz, Solo Flutist at the Vienna Philharmonic and internationally acclaimed soloist, was born in Innsbruck/Tyrol and received his musical education in Austria and France with Philippe Bernold, Aurèle Nicolet and Eva Amsler.

He won first prizes at the Carl Nielsen International Music Competition in 1998 and the International Flute Competition Kraków in 1999. He has performed as soloist including performances with Riccardo Muti, Daniel Barenboim, Sir Neville Marriner, Fabio Luisi, Yakov Kreizberg, Bertrand de Billy, etc.

He played as soloist with acclaimed orchestras such as Vienna Philharmonic, Vienna Symphony as well as NHK Tokyo, Sapporo Symphony Orchestra, etc. He is currently developing the thrilling double role as soloist and conductor, featuring classical and preclassical music but also contemporary.

Karl-Heinz Schütz is a passionate chamber musician and a member of Ensemble Wien-Berlin and Wiener Ring Ensemble. He has appeared at international festivals in Salzburg, Bregenz, Graz, Montpellier, Rheingau, Sapporo and Prague, among others.

Karl-Heinz Schütz is Professor of Flute at the Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität Wien and has held several guest professorships. He regularly gives master-classes throughout Europe, USA and Asia.

He has been judge at international music competitions, such as Carl Nielsen, Krakow, Novi Sad and Tchaikovsky competitions. At Nielsen competition he was in charge as president of the jury.

He is active as a recording artist, especially for Camerata Tokyo, where a dozen of cds, among them Schubert, Mozart, Prokofiev and Brahms CDs were released. With the Academy of St Martin-in-the-Fields under Sir Neville Marriner a CD was published at CHANDOS, with the title: 20th Centuries Concerto Grosso. He is artistic director at HORIZONTE festival in Landeck/Tyrol.

In 2023, composer Clemens Gadenstaetter is composing a flute concerto for him, which will be premiered both with Zagreb Philharmonic and Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra and his recording of Frédéric Chaselin’s flute sonata in duet with the composer will be released.
