萊納．霍內克 Rainer Honeck

萊納．霍內克生於1961年，1981年加入維也納國家歌劇院及維也納愛樂樂團擔任第一小提琴，並於1984年與1992年成為維也納歌劇院及愛樂樂團首席。

儘管與樂團的演出是霍內克音樂事業的核心，但他本身也是知名獨奏家，於奧地利、歐洲、日本、美國等地皆有音樂會演出。他個人有多場表現精采的獨奏會，包括與維也納愛樂樂團、倫敦交響樂團、匹茲堡交響樂團、馬林斯基劇院管絃樂團合作，並由知名的赫伯特．布隆斯泰特、謝米揚．畢契科夫、克里斯多夫．封．杜南伊、亞當．費雪、丹尼爾．加蒂、瓦勒力．葛濟夫、丹尼爾．哈汀、曼弗雷德．赫尼克、馬利斯．揚松斯、里卡多．慕提、基里爾．佩特連科以及邁可．提爾森．湯瑪斯等大師擔任指揮。

他以樂團首席身分推出的知名錄音作品包括由小澤征爾指揮、維也納愛樂演奏的林姆斯基-高沙可夫《天方夜譚》現場演出、由克里斯蒂安．蒂勒曼指揮的理查．史特勞斯《英雄的生涯》，以及與里卡多．慕提合作的貝多芬《莊嚴彌撒》。

萊納．霍內克在音樂生涯中向來相當重視室內樂演奏，他是維也納演奏家樂團（Wiener Virtuosen）、維也納弦樂獨奏家樂團（Vienna String Soloists），以及維也納樂團（Ensemble Wien）的創始元老及首席。

霍內克種種領導樂團與擔任首席的經驗，自然成為他拓展領域的墊腳石，他開始跨足管弦樂作品研究；他也開始替下列樂團擔任指揮，包括東京紀尾井音樂廳管弦樂團、名古屋愛樂、讀賣日本交響樂團、俄羅斯聖彼得堡馬林斯基劇院交響樂團，以及瑞典馬爾默交響樂團。

萊納．霍內克使用1725年製作的「夏康」史特拉底瓦里小提琴，由奧地利國家銀行出借。

Born in 1961, joined the Vienna State Opera and the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra as a first violinist in 1981, advancing to the position of concert master in the Opera in 1984 and to that of concert master of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra in 1992. 

While his work with the orchestra remains central to his musical life, Rainer Honeck is a renowned soloist, with concert appearances in Austria and in Europe, Japan and America. Personal highlights were solo performances with the Vienna Philharmonic, the London Symphony, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra of the Mariinsky Theatre under renowned conductors like Herbert Blomstedt, Semyon Bychkov, Christoph von Dohnany, Adam Fischer, Daniele Gatti, Valery Gergiev, Daniel Harding, Manfred Honeck, Mariss Jansons, Riccardo Muti, Kyrill Petrenko and Micheal Tilson Thomas.

Recordings of note as concertmaster include live productions of Rimskij-Korsakow’s Scheherazade with the Vienna Philharmonic and Seiji Ozawa,  Richard Strauss’ A Hero’s Life under Christian Thielemann  and Beethoven‘s „Missa solemnis“ under Riccardo Muti.

Playing chamber music had always an important place in his musical career. He was a founding member and leader of the Wiener Virtuosen, the Vienna String Soloists and the „Ensemble Wien“.

 All this “leading” experience seemed a natural stepping stone for him to extend his repertoire to encompass orchestral literature; He started conducting the Kioi Chamber Orchestra Tokyo, the Nagoya Philharmonic, the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra, the Mariinsky Symphony Orchestra St Petersburg and the Malmö Symphony Orchestra.

Rainer Honeck plays the “Chaconne” Stradivarius violin (1725); the instrument is a loan from the Austrian National Bank.
