朱利安 • 拉赫林  ｜ 小提琴

小提琴家朱利安‧拉赫林獨特豐富的音色、頂尖的音樂才能，以及出眾的樂曲詮釋能力，讓世界各地的聽眾如癡如醉；除此之外，他的中提琴演奏也頗負盛名。現在他擔任指揮家的角色，亦備受樂評稱讚，使他屹立不搖的事業更加蒸蒸日上。

拉赫林先生最近在美國完成數場成功的演出，合作對象包括：波士頓交響樂團與艾倫．吉伯特、克里夫蘭交響樂團與弗朗茲·魏瑟-莫斯特、費城交響樂團與查爾斯‧杜特華，以及底特律交響樂團與李奧納多‧史特拉金。在過去的24年裡，拉赫林曾與紐約、洛杉磯、華盛頓、匹茲堡、舊金山、巴爾的摩、芝加哥、亞特蘭大、達拉斯，以及西雅圖等地的頂尖交響樂團合作，為樂迷帶來多場音樂饗宴。

2012/13樂季，他在國際上的精彩演出均與著名樂團、指揮合作，包括法國國立管弦樂團與瓦西里‧辛奈斯基、以色列愛樂樂團與克里斯多夫‧馮‧杜南伊、馬林斯基交響樂團與維拉里‧葛濟夫；另外他也與指揮馬利斯‧楊松斯及巴伐利亞廣播交響樂團，在金色大廳為克里斯多夫‧潘德瑞茨基向朱利安‧拉赫林致敬所創作的雙協奏曲進行世界首演。朱利安也與指揮祖賓‧梅塔，共同和由來自聖保羅貧民區的年輕音樂家所組成的希利奥波利斯交響樂團演出。「玩奏指揮」的演出節目分別與下列各音樂家或樂團合作：克萊曼波羅的海弦樂團、希利奥波利斯交響樂團、都柏林RTE交響管弦樂團，以及琉森交響管弦樂團。

拉赫林固定與鋼琴家伊塔瑪‧戈朗搭檔演出，曾舉辦過多場獨奏會，最近一次是以布拉姆斯小提琴與中提琴奏鳴曲組曲為主題，在紐約92街YMCA文化中心、阿姆斯特丹的大會堂，以及維也納的金色大廳演出。

此外，由索尼經典唱片、華納古典唱片，與德意志留聲機公司發行的朱利安‧拉赫林的演奏專輯，也備受樂壇肯定。

過去12年來，朱利安主辦的國際知名音樂節「朱利安‧拉赫林與友人」每年都固定在克羅埃西亞的杜布洛尼舉辦。這個音樂節提供了一個平台，讓當代的傑出音樂家與演員能實現各種有創意與活力的計畫。朱利安也是一位年輕的慈善家，他擔任聯合國兒童基金會親善大使，並且持續投注時間推廣教育。

朱利安於1974年出生在立陶宛，1978年移民到維也納，在維也納音樂學院和著名的小提琴大師包瑞斯‧庫喜納學習，並另請平夏斯．祖克曼擔任私人家教。他在1988年參加於阿姆斯特丹舉辦的歐洲音樂大賽，因獲得「年度青年音樂家」獎項而一夕成名。朱利安的初次登場是與名指揮家里卡多‧慕提及維也納愛樂共同演出，是史上與維也納愛樂演出的獨奏家中，最年輕的一位。

朱利安‧拉赫林從1999年九月起任教於私立維也納音樂學院。

朱利安‧拉赫林使用的小提琴是出自斯特拉迪瓦里之手、1704年由李比希擁有的的名琴，由安格波卡普私人基金會出借，向他致敬。另外他也使用倫敦的迪米崔，金丁向他致敬而出借的尼可羅‧白貢齊1786年中提琴。

International highlights in the 2012/13 season include concerts with the Orchestre National de France and Vassily Sinaisky, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and Christoph von Dohnányi, the Mariinsky Orchestra and Valery Gergiev, as well as the world premiere of Krzysztof Penderecki’s Double Concerto dedicated to Julian Rachlin at the Vienna Musikverein with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra conducted by Mariss Jansons.  Together with Zubin Mehta, Julian performs with Sinfonica Heliopolis, an orchestra of young musicians from the favelas in Sao Paulo. Play & Conduct performances include collaborations with the Kremerata Baltica, the Sinfonica Heliopolis, the RTE Symphony Orchestra Dublin, and the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra.

With his regular duo partner, pianist Itamar Golan, Julian performs a series of recitals, including his recent performance of the Brahms Sonatas Cycle for violin and viola at the 92nd Street Y in New York, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and in the Golden Hall of the Musikverein in Vienna.

Julian Rachlin’s recordings for Sony Classical, Warner Classics and Deutsche Grammophon have all been met with great acclaim.

For the past 12 years, Julian’s internationally renowned festival, “Julian Rachlin & Friends” has been held annually in Dubrovnik, Croatia, as a platform for creative and vibrant projects with today’s leading musicians and actors. As a young philanthropist, Julian is recognized as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and continues to devote much of his time to educational outreach.

Born in Lithuania in 1974, Julian immigrated to Vienna in 1978. He studied with the eminent pedagogue Boris Kuschnir at the Vienna Conservatory and took private lessons with Pinchas Zukerman. He gained international acclaim overnight in 1988 by winning the "Young Musician of the Year" Award at the Eurovision Competition in Amsterdam. He then became the youngest soloist ever to play with the Vienna Philharmonic, making his debut under Riccardo Muti.

Since September 1999, Julian Rachlin has been on the faculty at the Vienna Conservatory Private University.
