Event Information
Guided tours of the cultural and architectural heritage of the Park.
Event Details

To promote the public's understanding of the procedure for restoring and preserving railway heritages while making the Taipei Railway Workshop an accessible, engaging, visitable and experienceable site for preserving obsolete trains in a functional condition, the Preparatory Office of National Railway Museum takes a “limited-admissions” measure to invite our audiences to witness every milestone we have achieved since the preparatory phase without disturbing the ongoing restoration and preservation works on site. We hope this measure will enable our audiences to recognize our unique core value toward cultural heritage and our vision of transforming Taipei Railway Workshop into an active railway museum.

►Specially-arranged Guided Tours

  • In spite of the on-going restoration works and exhibition planning, the NRM is keen to arrange guided tours for our visiting groups. Please note, due to our limited administrative capacity for ensuring the safety and the quality of our tour at the present stage, requests from the following organizations will be given priority.
  1. Public and private schools at all levels and research institutes.
  2. Government departments or non-departmental public bodies.
  3. Heritage organizations
  4. Railways or public transport operators.

      * Requests from organizations other than the aforementioned groups may still be considered and accepted.

**Registrations from travel agencies and general tour groups will not be accepted until the restoration works and exhibitions are completed.

  • Registration Guidelines
  1. The visiting group must comprise a minimum of 10 people but not exceed 40 people.
  2. All registrations must be made by contacting Ms Huang (+886 2-8787-8850 ext. 505) 14 days in advance of your visit. This is to ensure that we have sufficient time for arrangement. Please note, tours will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
  3. After confirming the day and time of your visit on the phone, you must deliver an official document to NRM at least 5 days in advance of your visit. Please note, failing to provide an official document will result in the cancellation of the tour service.
  • Tour-guiding manner: The tour, which will last around 90 minutes and principally follow the same route of the general or architectural guided tour, will be conducted by NRM staff on a ‘group-in and group-out’ basis.
