Joanne believes that laughter stands foremost among all virtues; laughing at oneself reflects wisdom, while laughing with others embodies compassion. While her elderly mother is still in good health, she has collaborated with her daughter, Teresa to hold a joint art exhibition. Through their creative work, she seeks to honor her mother’s lifelong hopes for her and to be a "smiling child" who spreads joy and love.

Centered on the themes of "filial piety" and "laughter" as starting points, the exhibition showcases nearly one hundred artworks across diverse media—including watercolor, ink-and-color, calligraphy, and acrylics. The collection is varied and distinctive, featuring pieces that are therapeutic and poetic, as well as works filled with childlike whimsy.
