Artist Linda Shih grew up surrounded by pastoral landscapes, where flowers, grasses, trees, and fluttering insects became enduring sources of inspiration for her artistic practice. Integrating the meticulous spirit of traditional Eastern gongbi painting with the observational perspectives of Western art, she turns inward to reconnect with her emotions, using her brush to express the vitality and spirituality of all living things in nature.
This exhibition centers on themes of flowers and birds, insects, and natural landscapes, presenting over fifty works. The artworks are executed on silk and paper, employing techniques such as ink and color, ink wash, and mixed media, forming a refined and richly poetic visual language. Through delicate line work and gentle, luminous colors, the paintings not only depict the external beauty of nature but also convey the philosophical idea of the interconnectedness of all things. Viewers are invited to wander among subtle petals and fleeting insect shadows, and to experience a sense of tranquility and life-affirming resonance that arises from both the earth and the depths of the soul.
