Rachmaninoff and Prokofiev – the two exceptional Russian masters of the last century meet again today, as Tung-Chieh Chuang and Gwhyneth Chen bring the two together for one remarkable performance.

Considered as one of the piano concerto classics, Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 3  is an epitome of post-romanticism filled with Russian flair and the composer's unique music language.

Prokofiev's ballet music for Romeo and Juliet is equally impressive. Noble and untamed, elegant and passionate, all immortalized in the composer's exquisite work.

Rachmaninoff and Prokofiev are held in high regards in the Russian music circle. Although the two genius maestros led very different lives, both expressed enough force in their compositions to impact the 20th century western music community, like a bolt of lightning striking across the sky.

Tonight, Tung-Chieh Chuang and Gwhyneth Chen take on the masters' works and bring in their own interpretations. Let's see what happens when masters and geniuses collide!
