The memories of Tainan are the memories of our home. Tonight, music will bring us back to the times when all were simple and beautiful.

Which sound from Taiwan touches your heart the most? Taiwanese folk song pioneer Shih Hsu wrote, collected, and rearranged a lot of local folk songs. His works not only witnessed the development of Taiwanese folk songs, but also gave birth to new creations and further popularized the genre.

Shih Hsu's music depicts many rich details of daily life. No matter if he is describing scenery or conveying emotions, Hsu’s compositions are always moving and poetic. Those were difficult times for artists, yet Hsu Shi managed to steadfastly compose and carry on the culture of Taiwanese folk songs, leaving traces of the times in his music.
