安德列斯‧奧登薩默 Andreas Ottensamer

奧地利單簧管演奏家安德烈斯．奧登薩默以美麗獨特的音樂獲得觀眾與樂評的盛讚。1989年奧登薩默出生於維也納的音樂世家，同時具備奧地利與匈牙利的血統，他很早便被音樂吸引，四歲開始學習鋼琴，十歲在維也納國立音樂暨表演藝術大學學習大提琴，2003年轉攻單簧管，拜入維也納愛樂單簧管首席辛德勒門下。

奧登薩默曾在維也納州立歌劇院管弦樂團與維也納愛樂管弦樂團擔任助理團員，也曾加入馬勒青年管弦樂團。2009年，他中斷了在哈佛的學業，選擇進入柏林愛樂學院進修。是現任柏林愛樂管弦樂團單簧管首席。

奧登薩默曾在許多音樂大賽以單簧管、大提琴、鋼琴樂器贏得首獎，並經常以獨奏家、室內樂演奏家的身分巡迴世界重要的音樂廳演出，包括維也納金色大廳、維也納音樂廳、林茲布魯克納音樂廳、格拉茲音樂協會廳、柏林愛樂廳、柏林活動中心、鹿特丹多倫音樂廳，以及首爾藝術中心等等。奧登薩默曾合作過的藝術家包括鋼琴大師普萊亞、挪威鋼琴家安滋涅斯、希臘小提琴家卡瓦柯斯、荷蘭小提琴家楊森、奧地利大提琴家哈根、華裔大提琴家馬友友等人。他的父親恩斯特與哥哥丹尼爾都在維也納愛樂管弦樂團擔任單簧管首席，三人於2005年合組一個單簧管三重奏團體｢The Clarinotts｣，致力於單簧管合奏演出，也首演了數個獻給他們的作品。

2013年二月，奧登薩默與DG唱片／Mercury Classics簽署合約，成為DG黃標的第一個專屬的單簧管演奏家。他的首張專輯《悠揚韻律 - 單簧管素描》中收錄了柯普蘭、史博以及奇馬羅薩的協奏曲，以及數首改編小品，由加拿大青年指揮家、費城管弦樂團音樂總監亞尼克．內傑瑟昆指揮的鹿特丹愛樂管弦樂團。

除了音樂演出之外，安德烈斯．奧登薩默也熱愛運動，他曾是網球選手，在2007年也曾與哥哥丹尼爾組織一個維也納DSG聯盟的足球隊｢維也納大師｣，當安德烈斯．奧登薩默有空的時候，他仍會回到維也納參與足球隊的比賽。

除了古典音樂之外，奧登薩默也開拓至其他類型的音樂演出，他曾參美國流行歌手多莉・艾默絲的專輯《夜間獵人》的錄製；對於室內樂，奧登薩默也抱有非常高度的熱忱，他與阿根廷鋼琴家荷西・葛拉多共同擔任瑞士布爾根施托克藝術節的藝術總監，曾邀請中提琴家孟克梅耶、哈根四重奏的大提琴家克萊門斯與中提琴家維若妮卡、柏林愛樂雙簧管首席阿貝利希・梅爾、德國小提琴家李努斯・洛斯、日裔大提琴家石坂團十郎、卡爾弗萊什小提琴大賽冠軍舒密特等參與演出。

近期音樂會包括韓國首爾演出布梭尼單簧管小協奏曲及柯普蘭單簧管協奏曲，與布拉姆斯柏林合奏團登上德國巴登巴登藝術節及日本，與奧登薩默三重奏巡演於日本、維也納、葛拉茲、自己所創立的布爾根施托克藝術節以及柏林愛樂合作演出。他並以獨奏家身分巡演於維也納、柏林、慕尼黑、首爾及臺北。

奧登薩默以優美的音色、鮮明的音樂性在不同的音樂類型都獲得高度肯定，德國每日鏡報曾形容：｢他的演出彷彿沒有音量的限制……他音樂的活力打破了既有限制。｣荷蘭鹿特丹商報：｢安德烈斯．奧登薩默融化了他的樂器，他是個超級的獨奏家，寫下當今樂壇炙手可熱的現象。｣知名樂評家施密特在Musical America寫下：｢奧登薩默的演奏格外精彩，也充滿了憂鬱的氣質。｣

2015年在DG唱片／Mercury Classics發行第二張專輯《布拉姆斯：匈牙利因緣》，2016年初發行《奧登薩默單簧管三重奏：同名專輯》。

The Austrian clarinettist Andreas Ottensamer has captured audiences and critics alike with the singular beauty of tone that he coaxes from the instrument. Born in 1989, Ottensamer comes from an Austro-Hungarian family of musicians and was drawn to music early, receiving his first piano lessons when he was four. At the age of ten he began studying cello in his home town at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, then changed to the clarinet under Johann Hindler in 2003.

Andreas Ottensamer gained his first orchestral experience as a deputy in the orchestra of the Vienna State Opera and the Vienna Philharmonic and as a member of the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester. In 2009 he interrupted his Harvard studies to become a scholar of the Orchestra Academy of the Berliner Philharmoniker.  He now is the principle clarinettist with the Berliner Philharmoniker.

Ottensamer has won first prize in competitions for clarinet, cello and piano, and performs as a soloist and chamber musician throughout the world in venues such as Musikverein Wien, Konzerthaus Wien, Brucknerhaus Linz, Musikverein Graz, Philharmonie Berlin, Tempodrom Berlin, De Doelen Rotterdam, and Seoul Arts Center. His artistic partnerships include work with Murray Perahia, Leif Ove Andsnes, Leonidas Kavakos, Janine Jansen, Clemens Hagen and Yo-Yo Ma. In 2005 Andreas Ottensamer founded the clarinet trio The Clarinotts with his father Ernst and brother Daniel, both solo clarinettists in the orchestra of the Vienna State Opera and the Vienna Philharmonic. Several works have been dedicated to the ensemble.

In February 2013 Andreas Ottensamer entered an exclusive recording partnership with Deutsche Grammophon/Mercury Classics, making him the first ever solo clarinettist to sign an exclusive agreement with the Yellow Label. His first album, Portraits – The Clarinet Album, was released that year and features concertos by Copland, Spohr and Cimarosa, plus arrangements of short pieces. His partners are the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra under Yannick Nézet-Séguin.

For a man who is so dedicated to music, Andreas Ottensamer is also passionate about sport. For many years he was a tennis tournament player, and together with his brother he founded his own football club, the Wiener Virtuosen, in 2007. The team plays successfully in the Wiener DSG league and Ottensamer still travels to Vienna for matches whenever his schedule permits.

Apart from his extensive activities within the world of classical music, Andreas Ottensamer has widened his horizon to other musical fields, resulting in collaboration and recording with Tori Amos on her album Night of Hunters.

Andreas Ottensamer is very passionate about chamber music. He is artistic director of the “Buergenstock Momente” - Festival in Switzerland together with pianist José Gallardo. Artists such as Nils Mönkemeyer, Clemens & Veronika Hagen, Albrecht Mayer, Linus Roth, Danjulo Ishizaka and Benjamin Schmid have been part of the festival.

Recent engagements include performances of the Busoni Clarinet Concertino and Copland Clarinet Concerto at the Seoul Arts Center in Korea, concerts with the Brahms Ensemble Berlin in Baden-Baden and Japan, appearances with his own Clarinotts in Japan, Vienna and Graz, as well as appearances at the Bürgenstock Festival and Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.  He also gives recitals in Vienna, Berlin, Munich, Seoul, Taipei and Seoul.

The beauty of tone and distinct musicality over a wide range of styles have won extensive critical plaudits for Andreas Ottensamer. Sybill Mahlke wrote in Der Tagesspiegel of his “limitless dynamic range……he plays with a vitality that pushes boundaries.” NRC Handelsblad said: “Andreas Ottensamer melts with his clarinet . . . he is an ‘übersolist’ and a phenomenon.” Rebecca Schmid wrote for MusicalAmerica.com: “Solo clarinettist Andreas Ottensamer played with particular finesse . . . and a touch of melancholy.”

In early 2015 he released his second album with Deutsche Grammophon/Mercury Classics of works by Brahms, followed by a recording with The Clarinotts in 2016.
