陳英老師-最美的生命詮釋者
在她身上充滿著感動的生命故事，在她歌聲中蘊涵著生命的厚度，堅持、謙卑、無私是她為人的態度，帶著豐沛人文的落山風吹襲下，更淬煉出不同一般人的勁骨，她就是用聲音記錄歷史的「陳英」老師。
恆春民謠因恆春半島狹長的地形而保存，但也因現今的節奏與社會型態而差點消失，傳承在這歷史轉折上扮演著重要的角色，因為堅持與毅力有今天的保存，陳英老師是現在少數能完整詮釋恆春民謠六種曲調的國寶級大師，沙啞特殊的嗓音與樸拙的月琴聲，彈唱出人生的繽紛色彩，不華麗但很美麗、很實際卻不俗氣，能由陳英老師的歌聲中尋回生命中記憶，是份美麗的緣與福氣，讓我們來共同珍惜、聆聽生命的力度，走入時光迴廊~

Ying Chen

Her life story is touching.  Her singing voice shows the thickness of life.  Perseverance, humbleness and selflessness are the way she behaves.  Her character of perseverance different from others is developed when the downslope wind blows over the place full of humanities and culture where she resides.  Noting down the history with her voice, she is “Chen Ying”.
Hengchun folk songs, which have been handed down due to the long and narrow landform of Hengchun Peninsula, almost disappeared once because of the influence from current rhythm and social lifestyle.  Cultural inheritance is important in the historical turn; with one’s perseverance and stamina, the folk songs have been passed down.  The master Chen Ying, one of the few who can sing six tunes of Hengchun folk songs, is the national treasure.  Her unique husky voice along with the simple sound of yueqin tells a colorful story of life, which is not splendid but beautiful, practical and not tacky.  It is a good luck and fortune that Chen Ying’s voice brings us back to sometime ago.  Let us admire and listen to the power of life while going back to the past.
