吳沛祺 Pei-Jee Ng

澳洲大提琴家吳沛祺於2023年加入皇家蘇格蘭國家管弦樂團擔任首席大提琴手，2015 年到 2022 年間擔任倫敦愛樂樂團的副首席大提琴。他通過2008年倫敦青年古典藝術家選拔，並獲選為2001年澳大利亞交響樂團年度青年表演者。

除了與澳洲六大交響樂團同台過，他亦以獨奏家身分與香港管弦樂團、馬來西亞愛樂樂團、新加坡交響樂團、國立臺灣交響樂團、奧盧交響樂團、愛沙尼亞國家交響樂團、愛樂管弦樂團、倫敦愛樂管弦樂團合作演出。

加入皇家蘇格蘭國家管絃樂團的首場音樂季中，吳沛祺與音樂總監 湯瑪斯·桑德嘉共同演出蕭斯塔科維奇的第一號協奏曲，接著在2024/25 樂季中與與指揮瑪爾澤娜‧迪亞昆合作演出艾蓮娜·蘭格的作品《長著發光鼻子的怪人》 。

吳沛祺是傅尼葉三重奏的大提琴手。傅尼葉三重奏於2013年帕克豪斯國際室內樂比賽贏得冠軍，並於2011年特隆赫姆國際室內樂比賽獲得二等獎和觀眾獎。他與鋼琴家張巧縈的合作作品也在 2011年的里雅斯特獲得了Libero Lana獎。

吳沛祺在阿德雷德由芭芭拉‧葉蘭與雅尼斯‧勞斯啟蒙大提琴，後來移居英國，在曼徹斯特漢娜‧羅伯茨與拉爾夫‧柯什鮑姆門下繼續深造。他畢業於倫敦皇家音樂學院，師從喬‧柯爾、楊成元及托馬斯‧布蘭迪斯，並於畢業時獲頒女王卓越獎章。

他曾受邀擔任數個樂團的客座首席大提琴，包括紐西蘭交響樂團、新加坡交響樂團、英國廣播公司交響樂團、倫敦愛樂管弦樂團及澳洲世界樂團。 

目前演奏的大提琴分別由巴普蒂斯特‧維約姆和傑夫‧萊特製作，後者是在2020年特別委製。

Australian cellist Pei-Jee Ng joined the Royal Scottish National Orchestra as Principal Cello in 2023. From 2015 to 2022 he was Co-Principal Cello of the London Philharmonic Orchestra. He won the 2008 Young Classical Artists Trust auditions in London and was the 2001 Symphony Australia Young Performer of the Year.

In addition to the six major Australian symphony orchestras, he has performed as soloist with Hong Kong Philharmonic, Malaysian Philharmonic, Singapore Symphony, National Taiwan Symphony, Oulu Symphony, Estonian National Symphony, Philharmonia Orchestra and London Philharmonic. 

In his debut season with the RSNO he performed Shostakovich’s Concerto No.1 with Music Director Thomas Søndergård and followed it in the 2024/25 Season with Elena Langer’s ‘The Dong with a Luminous Nose’ and conductor Marzena Diakun. 

Pei-Jee is cellist of the Fournier Trio, winners of the 2013 Parkhouse Award and 2nd Prize and Audience Prize at the 2011 Trondheim International Chamber Music Competition. His collaboration with pianist Chiao-Ying Chang garnered them the Libero Lana Prize in Trieste in 2011.

Pei-Jee began cello studies with Barbara Yelland and Janis Laurs in Adelaide before moving to the UK to study extensively with Hannah Roberts and Ralph Kirshbaum in Manchester. He completed his studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London with Jo Cole, Sung-Won Yang and Thomas Brandis, receiving the Queen’s Commendation for Excellence upon graduation.

He has performed as guest principal cello with orchestras including New Zealand Symphony, Singapore Symphony, BBC Symphony, London Philharmonic and Australian World Orchestra. 

Pei-Jee performs on cellos by JB Vuillaume and JF Wright (specially commissioned in 2020).
