林錦如 Ching-Ju LIN

南投縣人，聲樂啓蒙於吳榮桂老師，後師事范宇文老師。1987年夏天負笈奧地利，是年秋天順利考進國立維也納音樂暨表演藝術學院，師事Prof. Ralf Döring與Prof. Frank Fannig。

返臺後參與兩廳院歌劇工作坊第一屆成員其間，曾詮釋多齣歌劇選粹，劇中角色與演出，如魔彈射手(Der Freischütz)之Agatha、伍采克(Wozzeck)之Marie、奧金‧尤涅金(Eugene Onegin)之Tatiana、茶花女(La Traviata)之Violetta、阿拉貝拉(Arabella)之Arabella。

曾詮釋演出完整歌劇之角色有E. Humperdinck糖果屋（Hänsel und Gretel)中飾Gretel、W. A. Mozart女人皆如此(Cosi fan tutte)中飾Fiordiligi、G. A. Rossini塞爾維亞理髮師(IL Barbiere di Silviglia)之Rosina、G. Puccini波西米亞人(La Boheme)之Mimi、G. Puccini蝴蝶夫人(Madama Butterfly)之Cio-Cio-san、J. Strauss''蝙蝠''(Die Fledermaus)之''Rosalinde''一角。神劇演唱計有J. S. Bach馬太受難曲(Matthaeuspassion)、J. S. Bach約翰受難曲(Johnannis Passion)、F. Mendelssohn以利亞(Elias)、Haendel彌撒亞(Messiah)。

Originally from Nantou County, Ching-Ju Lin started her vocal training under Wu Rong-Gui and later Yu-Wen Fan. She went to Austria in the summer of 1987 and was successfully admitted to the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna that fall and studied under Professors Ralf Döring and Frank Fannig.

After returning to Taiwan, Lin took part in the first edition of the NTCH Opera Studio, where she interpreted many opera selections. Some of the characters she played include Agatha in Der Freischütz, Marie in Wozzeck, Tatiana in Eugene Onegin, Violetta in La Traviata, and Arabella in Arabella.

Characters she has played in full opera productions include Gretel in Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel, Fiordiligi in Mozart’s Così fan tutte, Rosina in Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Mimi in Puccini’s La Boheme and Cio-Cio-san in Madama Butterfly, and  Rosalinde in Strauss’ Die Fledermaus. As an oratorio singer, she has sung in Bach’s  Matthäuspassion, Bach’s Johannes-Passion, Mendelssohn’s Elias, and Handel’s Messiah.
