這場音樂會頗有「吸票機」的架式。柴科夫斯基的小提琴協奏曲、《羅密歐與朱麗葉》幻想序曲，加上貝多芬深受喜愛的第七號交響曲，每一首都有愛好者。

擔任獨奏的新秀小提琴家丁章媛在國立維也納音樂暨表演藝術大學深造，是大學 CARSA 新星獎最年輕的得獎者，也多次在國際⼤賽中表現傑出，包括榮獲比利時國際小提琴大賽首獎與最佳詮釋獎、美國庫柏國際小提琴比賽首獎等。

這場音樂會還有一首柴科夫斯基的曲目──《羅密歐與朱麗葉》幻想序曲。莎士比亞是十六世紀的英國劇作家，但是真正廣為歐洲、乃至全世界所接受，則是十九世紀才開始出現的現象。透過翻譯，各國讀者開始欣賞、著迷於莎士比亞的魅力。柴科夫斯基也是其中之一。《羅密歐與朱麗葉》充滿悲劇性的愛情、強烈的戲劇張力、暴力的直接衝突，都是柴科夫斯基擅長的主題，讓他頗有「相見恨晚」之感，最後寫成管弦樂曲，成為音樂會的常演曲目。

貝多芬的第七號交響曲也是如此，它雖然沒有言簡意賅的標題，但仍無礙於聽眾的喜愛。第二樂章的送葬進行曲，洋溢著古怪的趣味，第四樂章一掃先前的陰霾，以飽滿的活力迎向終點。（撰文／吳家恆）

An event with Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto in D Major and Fantasy Overture “Romeo and Juliet” as well as Beethoven’s popular Symphony No. 7 in A Major. This concert is selling out fast.

Young violinist Belle Ting, who will perform the solo in this concert, was trained at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, where she was one of the youngest recipients of the university's CARSA Rising Star Award.

The Fantasy Overture “Romeo and Juliet” by Tchaikovsky is another piece included in this program. Shakespeare was a 16th-century British playwright who became more popular throughout Europe and the world in the 19th century. Shakespeare’s works enchanted readers all around the world through translated editions, and Tchaikovsky was one of them. The tragic love between Romeo and Juliet, the strong dramatic tension, and the violent direct conflict are all recurring themes in Tchaikovsky’s works, and he regretted learning about this story so late. Later, the composer used the tale as inspiration for an orchestral composition, which was often performed in concerts.

Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 in A Major is the same situation. Although it doesn’t have a short and clear title, the public nevertheless adores it. While the funeral march in the second movement is odd and quirky, the fourth movement sweeps away the previous gloominess and greets the end with full force.
