《第一浪潮：當代澳洲與臺灣原住民時裝藝術展》，呈現臺灣與澳洲墾殖民經驗下的第一民族／原住民族，深度反思主流文化和時尚產業，持續連結土地、族群及其當代身分，給出的時尚主張。這不是浪花似的流行趨勢，而是伏流般持續肯定與認同原住民族的運動。

主展場「澳洲展區 Piinpi 」與「臺灣展區」，集結超過百件作品，呈現澳洲地景在時空中遞嬗變化的故事，也展現臺灣跨文化層疊互動的島嶼認同與族群界線。全展以精緻的時裝藝術，呈現兩地時尚永續與藝創的價值，慶祝這場永不過時的時尚季。

“First Wave: Contemporary Australian and Taiwanese Indigenous Fashion” showcases the ways in which the First Nation/Indigenous Peoples of Australia and Taiwan, who share a history of colonial experiences, advocate for their own definitions of style through fashion design. The exhibition undertakes a profound reflection on mainstream culture and the fashion industry as the artists continue to connect the land, ethnic groups, and their contemporary identities. This is not the splash of fashion trends, but a movement that exists as an undercurrent which continuously recognizes Indigenous Peoples. 

Two areas in the main exhibition space, Piinpi from Australia and Taiwan, bring together more than a hundred works that tell the stories of changes in the Australian landscape across time and space, as well as the transcultural layering and interactions in Taiwan’s island identity and ethnic boundaries. The exquisite fashions in the exhibition showcase the sustainability and artistry of Indigenous fashions in Taiwan and Australia in celebration of this timeless fashion season.

澳洲展區 PIINPI

強調以第一民族的觀點詮釋時序，引領觀眾走過原鄉領域季節的流轉。從時裝看見第一民族創作者對工藝傳承、道德意識、慢時尚，以及社群培力的關懷與投注。時裝作為理解的入口，以有形、具象的方式記錄故事、傳遞知識甚而保存文化，打開認識與同理的空間。讓觀眾沈浸於斑斕的色彩、驚喜於傳統與當代的媒合、領受土地的贈與。Piinpi 展歡慶新一波藝術創新者及文化領導者的崛起，他們不僅定義了今日的時尚，更引領未來。​

The interpretation of temporal order from the viewpoint of the First Nations is emphasized in guiding the audience through the cycle of the seasons across the Country. From the fashion, we can see the care and investment given by First Nations artists to the heritage of craftsmanship, ethical consciousness, slow fashion, and community development. As a portal into understanding, fashion documents stories, transmits knowledge, and even preserves culture through tangible, figurative methods that open up spaces for understanding and empathy. The audience is immersed in resplendent colors and dazzled by the union of the traditional and the contemporary as they receive this gift from the land. The Piinpi exhibition is a celebration of a burgeoning wave of artistic innovators and cultural leaders who not only define the fashion of today, but also lead in the future.

​臺灣展區 TAIWAN

臺灣展區以中部大安溪流域泰雅族人對季節的理解為架構，反映自然環境與人類活動間的深刻連結。自預備甦醒的「Mahala’iy  降雪」啟始，續以象徵新生的「Tngatu abaw 葉芽苞」，醞釀出萬物繽紛旺盛的「Abagan 茂盛炎熱之季」；年之末的「Masahuw abaw 落葉」適合旅行，旅途最終則「回返」原鄉。這些作品橫跨織品到圖紋、時裝到族服，以及材質、手藝與技術的延續和開發，不只見於展覽場，更在日常街頭現身，展現臺灣原住民設計師的多樣性與企圖心。​

The structure of the Taiwan exhibition area is based on the concept of seasons as understood by the Atayal people of the Da-an River Area of central Taiwan, which reflects a profound understanding of the intimacy between human activities and the natural environment. The year begins with an anticipation of awakening in “Snowfall;” to the burgeoning of new life in “Budding Leaf;” followed by the vibrant vitality of the “Season of Sweltering Fecundity;” and closing the year on the season for travel with “Fallen Leaves,” where all sojourns necessarily conclude with thea “Returns” homeward. These works encompass everything from woven fabrics to prints, couture to ethnic dress, as well as the continuation and development of materials, craft, and technology. They are not only seen as displays in the exhibition, but permeate into daily lives, appearing on the streets of cities and villages – embodying a multitude of expressions and ambition as evident in the works of Taiwan’s Indigenous fashion designers.
