"Regeneration of Historic Sites" is one of the important projects jointly launched and implemented by the Ministry of Culture and local governments, which is expected to rebuild the national memory of cultural heritage through a bottom-up approach. With culture at its core, the project aims to bring the cultural assets which have been carried across generations back into the lives of contemporary people with policies and governance. The project "Regeneration of Historic Sites" plans to combine the preservation of cultural assets at a single point with local literature, history, culture and technology to promote the preservation of the cultural assets in a "line" or a “region”. Through the combination of "virtual" (intangible historical and cultural memory) and "real" (tangible living space, fields), and the integration of software and hardware, the project will drive the development of cities or regions through cultural governance and carry out the reproduction of space and restoration of cultural ecology, so that historical memory can return to people's lives, thus to rebuild the connection between the people and land and among the people.
