《器蘊茶味》–這次在國立臺灣工藝研究發展中心.台北當代工藝設計分館所策劃的茶器特展中,台灣陶藝學會除了展出會員們精心創作之現代茶器具外,並以此主題透過學界舉辦了台灣茶陶文化研討會,同時連結了台灣茶藝文化學會,做了一場陶與茶的交流茶會及一場茶與器之深度論談。

活動內容介紹

器蘊茶味-茶器特展 (Implication of Pottery and Tea Ceremony –Teawares Exhibition )

人類之進化乃透過思想發展而推演,而在推進的過程中,因生活型態之需求,乃形成器物功能之演進。人類生活的逐步文明化,不斷地創造出了新的器物機能,其工藝型制也越發跟隨著精緻化。相對於在各國茶文化之發展歷程中,足以顯現出茶器具與茶文化之關聯性是相伴相隨、不可切割。如同-中國歷代因茶文化之變革,乃相對影響了各時期茶具型制的衍變,亦導致出各種不同的飲茶形式,也反映出不同時代其經濟發展與文化價值。

 

茶的出現在早期乃為藥飲,中國-於隋唐之期因佛教的興盛,而牽動了茶湯轉化為一種修身養性的飲品,當時以茶葉投入釜中加料熬煮後盛於碗而飲之。此因煮茶方式而延伸出的煮茶鐵釜,與為襯茶色之密瑟青瓷的茶碗製作便是一個特色。到了宋代-點茶法的形成,乃將茶團碾碎成粉而置於黑色茶盞中,改以熱水沖注後取竹筅打成乳白泡沫而飲之,此喝茶文化則成就了天目碗之不凡身價。來到明朝-朱元璋稱帝,廢團茶而興散茶之製茶型態驟變,以小壺泡之〈功夫茶〉方式,便從此造就了宜興紫砂壺的璀璨風華。

 

當來到70年代的台灣,因適逢經濟的起飛,順勢帶動了文化藝術之風潮。在此時台灣的茶界興起了以〈茶藝〉之名,而開啟了茶藝館之喝茶品茗風氣,並開拓了製壺及賞壺玩壺的陶藝市場。當下台灣開始出現了許多活潑且具張力的陶藝家藉由茶壺的製作,將實用性與藝術性帶入了茶器具之創作上,打造出了另一股引領台灣茶文化的新氣象。讓這十幾年來台灣茶界所推展〈茶席〉展演之舞台上,有著更豐富且多元選擇之搭配角色,使〈台灣陶藝壺〉在茶藝與陶藝發展的軌跡上皆佔有一席之地,並推向大陸乃至國際之獨特風格。因此-台灣陶藝壺的出現,可以說是台灣現代茶藝與台灣當代陶藝,原本少以交織的兩條平行線,得以有交響的共鳴。他的激盪看似一個年輕而活潑的新興思維,但其成長的脈絡則是直接承受了中國歷代茶文化發展的傳統,並融合了中國陶瓷工藝之文化內蘊,以延續與創新概念建構了其屬於這個年代的茶藝型態與文化意識。

 

『器蘊茶味-茶器特展』:這是台灣陶藝學會與國立台灣工藝研究發展中心 臺北當代工藝設計分館籌劃,再連結了台灣茶文化學會共同主辦的一場茶與器對話之主題盛會。展場中除了展出會員們精彩、精緻作品外,同時我們將邀請專業司茶人,以陶藝家提供之個性化茶器具做茶席設置與展演,讓台灣陶與茶有更直接與實際的互動平台。另外,對於學術領域我們更策劃了一場「茶與器」的專業論談與規劃一場論文學術座談。在論談中將有三位專業陶藝作家及三位資深茶界專家,針對器的特質與茶的特性兩者相附相依、密不可分之要素做深度之交鋒論述。另一方面,亦將此議題透過全國大專院校以邀稿及徵稿形式,舉辦論文發表座談。相信經由這次的所有展演活動,能讓台灣茶界與陶界可以激盪出值得一同省思的議題,也希望在透過我們的努力之後,更期許可以看到茶與器共同的文化認同與肯定的文創價值。

Human evolution is propagated through development of the mind. And as mankind’s way of living demands, utensil function also embark on its own evolutionary path. Latest function for utensils continues to be created along the way, and the craftsmanship becomes more and more refined. Take a look at the development of tea cultures across the globe. Tea wares and tea cultures have, in fact, interlockingly binding relationships. Along with changes introduced to tea cultures during different periods of Chinese dynasties, tea ware forms of different periods and tea drinking trend followed suit. The changes often reflect the economic development and cultural values ​​of different eras.

      As economy quickly took off in Taiwan during the 1970s, it paved the way for cultural and artistic trends to bloom. At the same time, the Taiwan tea industry, in the name of Tea Arts, or cháyì (in Chinese), soon opened a new chapter for tea drinking at the many tea houses and for a booming market for pottery as teapot making and collecting fervors began. Many potters with their liveliness and great potential have come into the scene. They have brought pragmatic and artistic values into the making of tea wares, which in turn leads to the shaping of a new tea culture. That is the backdrop of how modern tea ceremony, or cháxí (in Chinese), after series of attempts made by the tea industry, came into limelight during the past decade. Moreover, Taiwan tea pottery, a more versatile complimenting element in tea ceremony, plays an important role beyond borders both in tea cultures and ceramic arts development. Taiwan's modern tea arts and contemporary ceramic arts, both originally dwelling in separate domains, now resonate and intertwine. At first glance, the influence might appear to be sprung out of young and lively thinking. But, if looking back at the historical context, it is, in fact, tradition-ridden and inheriting tea cultures from past dynasties. On top of that is integration of the cultural heritage of Chinese ceramic craftsmanship. Together, with continuity and innovation concepts, tea arts and cultural awareness of the era are forged.

         The exhibition is a theme event planned by the Taiwan Ceramic Society as well as the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute and co-organized with the Taiwan Tea Culture Association. The event unveils the Tea and Utensils Forum as well as the Tea Pottery Culture Seminar. The Tea and Utensils Forum invites three ceramic artists and three specialists from tea industry to expound their views on tea wares quality and characteristics of the tea and how the two compliments each other. In addition, the seminar launches essay presentation on the agenda, inviting colleges and universities to participate. Through a series of events, the tea industry and the ceramic arts circle are bound to generate food for thoughts. Cultural identity and innovative start-ups values might eventually be added to the tea and the tea wares.
